All are healthy food. Just loved all your items. More over I will go with home made muesli. That will be good one to serve for hungry children when they return from their school. And dark chocolate . My favourite too. Yeah using natural product at home will be always good for health, especially for children. Thanks for sharing with us

Love your pantry items list! All very useful and healthy ingredients. Natural sweeteners are a big one - especially for kids as the last thing you want them to be getting hooked on is sugar! Which as we know can have detrimental affects on their learning, energy and weight.

Also in my house, muesli is a staple. Making your own can be super fun with the kids and you can add any ingredient you life. Not to mention it is a lot healthier without all those additives supermarket brands add in them.

I wanted to ask you - do you give your children non-dairy milk? Or would you recommend growing kids need the milk for strong bones, teeth, its good bacteria and other vital nutrients?

Great post, thank you!

Hi Donna!

Love the list! I also try to use natural products at home as much as possible because they are inexpensive and they don’t pose danger to my family’s health. I always store coconut oil, apple cider vinegar and lemons at home. They are life savers! Last week, I hired a cleaning service to help me clean our second floor window and rest of the house and they shared excellent tips on how I can use simple kitchen ingredients like lemon and vinegar. They told me that lemons are excellent in removing stains and cleaning ovens.

Hi,

I was checking out some of your articles at ittybittygreeny today and found this page:

http://ittybittygreenie.com.au/blog/1263/10-things-youll-probably-find-in-a-greenie-mums-pantry/

I noticed that you link to one of my favorite articles ever: 101 uses for coconut oil by Katie over at WellnessMama

I love that resource and set out to make something similar:

http://babypit.com/200-incredible-uses-for-coconut-oil/

It is like Katies article but much more up to date and comprehensive, featuring over 100 additional uses for coconut oil.

You may want to consider linking to my article from your page.

Either way, I’ll see you around ittybittygreeny

Cheers,
Jess
